The two Ndimande brothers accused in the high-profile murders of rapper Kiernan “AKA” Forbes and celebrity chef Tebello “Tibz” Motsoane are finally set to be extradited to South Africa. The brothers abandoned their legal challenge against extradition from eSwatini, clearing the way for their transfer.

The South African Police Service (SAPS) confirmed that they have received the official surrender order for Siyabonga Gezani and Malusi Dave Ndimande from the eSwatini government.

Key Details of the Extradition

  • Expected Date of Return: Tuesday, November 11, 2025.
  • Authorities Involved: Interpol South Africa and Interpol eSwatini are working together to facilitate the logistical arrangements.
  • Charges: The brothers face a total of 24 charges linked to three criminal cases, including murder, conspiracy to commit murder, attempted murder, and unlawful possession of firearms and ammunition.

SAPS spokesperson Brigadier Athlenda Mathe stated that all arrangements are being finalised and that the SAPS remains “confident that it has a watertight case against the pair.”

Justice and Constitutional Development Minister Mmamoloko Kubayi also confirmed the extradition order, noting that the brothers dropped their legal challenge on November 3.

National police commissioner General Fannie Masemola thanked the eSwatini authorities for their cooperation in locating and detaining the suspects.

The murders of AKA and Tibz occurred outside a Durban restaurant in February 2023, a tragedy that sparked months of intense investigation and national attention. While internal police disagreements surrounding the case were recently noted in Parliament, authorities insist the case is progressing and that justice for the slain stars is near.

Once the Ndimande brothers arrive in South Africa, details of their court appearance in KwaZulu-Natal will be announced.
