As the 2025 calendar year closes, Marumo Gallants and Zimbabwe star Daniel Msendami has added fuel to the fire regarding a potential blockbuster move to Kaizer Chiefs or Orlando Pirates.
Fresh off a spirited AFCON performance in Zimbabwe’s narrow 3-2 loss to Bafana Bafana, the 25-year-old winger has finally addressed the rumors that have linked him to South Africa’s biggest clubs for months.

Msendami Speaks: “I’ll Keep Pushing”
Speaking from Morocco, Msendami didn’t shy away from his ambitions to play at the highest level. While he remains committed to Gallants for now, his latest comments suggest his bags might be packed sooner rather than later.
- On the Interest: “For me, the way I heard it was concrete [the interest from Chiefs and Pirates]. But I didn’t put it in mind, because if they were really interested in me, they were going to take me…”
- On His Future: “We play to reach the top league and play for big teams… My contract is expiring soon, but I’m not yet clear on what’s happening.”
- Performance Check: Msendami has been a pillar for Gallants, contributing 3 goals and 3 assists last term and proving his mettle on the international stage against South Africa’s elite defenders.
