Kaizer Chiefs fans will have to wait a little longer for the highly anticipated trip to the Toyota Stadium. The Premier Soccer League (PSL) encounter between Siwelele FC and Amakhosi, initially scheduled for Wednesday, 18 February 2026, has been moved to a later date.
Why the Delay?
The postponement is a direct result of Kaizer Chiefs’ heavy involvement in the CAF Confederation Cup. Managing a dual campaign requires extreme logistical precision, and several factors led to this decision:
- Travel Fatigue & Logistics: Amakhosi are currently navigating a demanding cross-border travel schedule. To ensure the players have adequate recovery time between high-stakes continental matches and domestic league duties, the club requested a window of relief.
- Squad Management: Head coach and technical team are prioritizing the health of the squad as they enter the business end of the February fixtures. Playing a high-intensity away game in Bloemfontein directly adjacent to a CAF travel day was deemed a high risk for injuries.
- Tournament Integrity: By moving the game, the PSL ensures that both Siwelele FC and Kaizer Chiefs can field their strongest lineups, maintaining the competitive standard of the Betway Premiership.

What Happens Next?
The PSL is currently coordinating with both clubs and stadium management to find a suitable gap in the calendar. Fans who have already made travel arrangements for Bloemfontein are advised to hold onto their plans until the new date and kickoff time are officially ratified.
