From 4 to 7 May 2026, the University of South Africa (Unisa) will host a high-level gathering of global minds at its Muckleneuk campus. This year’s conference is dedicated to a powerful theme: “Hope through transformation: Advancing sustainability, inclusion and digital innovation in higher education practices.”

Turning Crisis into Innovation

The ITLC 2026 is born out of a necessity to stay ahead of the rapid advancements in Artificial Intelligence (AI). The conference aims to move beyond “desperation” in the face of digital disruption, instead harnessing AI and interactive tools to create a top-tier, human-centered learning environment.

The Vision

The conference is designed to serve as a critical platform for:

  • Policymakers & Leaders: To reimagine curricula and institutional cultures.
  • Practitioners & Researchers: To showcase successful strategies in decolonial pedagogy and digital resilience.
  • The Global Community: To align higher education with Agenda 2063 and sustainable development needs.
