When the Springboks line up against Wales this Saturday for their third Nations Championship fixture, all eyes will be on 20-year-old flyhalf sensation Vusi Moyo, who is set to earn his highly anticipated first international Test cap.

Springbok mastermind Rassie Erasmus didn’t hold back his praise when discussing why the young flyhalf is ready for the deep end, drawing a striking physical comparison to a young double-World Cup winner.
“Sometimes you get a really skilful flyhalf, sometimes you get a small, nippy flyhalf,” Erasmus noted. “When Handré (Pollard) was a young guy coming through, he was somebody who took the ball to the line. I think Vusi, for his age, is a very big boy. He certainly doesn’t stand back from the physical side of the game. For a big guy, he’s got really soft hands. We want to see him in a Test match.”
