Maglera Doe Boy has given fans another update on the highly anticipated remix of ‘Yahoo Boyz’, revealing that Nasty C has already recorded his contribution — but there is one small problem.
According to Maglera, the Durban rapper’s verse is currently too short for a collaboration that has generated so much excitement.
Maglera wants more from Nasty C
Maglera shared the update in a casual social media video, explaining that Nasty C has already delivered a verse for the remix.
While the rapper is happy with what he received, he believes the contribution should be longer given Nasty C’s status and the anticipation surrounding the collaboration.
“He gave me a verse, it’s ill,” Maglera said, before explaining that he felt it was “a bit short” because it was Nasty C.
The Maglera Tapes rapper revealed that he has asked Nasty C to return to the song and extend his contribution.
Maglera said he could technically release the remix with the verse as it stands, but he expects fans to notice the limited appearance.
“I know the fans are gonna be like, ‘Oh, this verse is short,’ so I asked him, pops, can you just give us more?” he explained.
Nasty C was reportedly wrapping up his UK tour around the time of their last conversation, but the important part is that the verse has already been recorded.
‘Yahoo Boyz’ remix has been building anticipation
The potential collaboration has been generating interest since Maglera first revealed that he had sent Nasty C an open verse.
