Nadia Nakai and Toss have given fans a closer look at the songs that stand out most to them on their joint EP, Do’s & Don’ts, revealing the personal meaning behind their favourite tracks.
The six-track project, released on 18 September 2026, was created during an intense three-day studio session and explores different sides of relationships, including love, intimacy, vulnerability and the realities of being together.
During a recent conversation with SA Hip Hop Mag, the pair were asked to select their top three songs from the EP. Interestingly, both artists independently placed “Blind,” featuring Nkosazana Daughter, at the top of their lists.
“Blind” Takes the Top Spot
For Toss, “Blind” represents the relationship and connection at the heart of the project. He explained that the song captures the energy and experiences shared between him and Nadia.
Nadia echoed that sentiment, describing the track as one that strongly represents the love within a relationship. She highlighted the lyric about wanting her partner’s surname and having children together as one of the elements that makes the song particularly meaningful to her.
Toss selected “Chomi,” featuring Sino Msolo and Sizwe Alakine, as his second favourite.
He was particularly drawn to Nadia’s closing verse, describing it as her effectively writing a letter to him. The verse carries a protective and encouraging message, with Nadia expressing concern about the people around Toss while also highlighting her belief in him and his character.
Nadia Picks “Gets Getsa”
Nadia’s second choice was “Gets Getsa”, a track she said she loves deeply.
The rapper also admitted that she was surprised the song had not received as much attention from listeners as she expected, suggesting that it remains one of the tracks she feels strongly connected to.
For their third selection, the artists once again agreed, choosing “Choose Me.”
Toss associated the song with his desire to travel and experience the world with Nadia. He mentioned Paris for its fashion scene and Thailand for its tropical setting.
Nadia, meanwhile, acknowledged that her personal favourites can shift depending on her mood and how she connects with the songs at different times. She revealed that “Toxic” has been growing on her, while she continues to have a strong connection with “Ben’thini,” the EP’s hard-hitting opening track.

The conversation offers another perspective on Do’s & Don’ts, moving beyond streaming figures to explore how the artists themselves interpret the music.
Recorded over three days, the project reflects different stages and emotions within relationships, from romance and intimacy to vulnerability, expectations and the challenges that come with being together.
