Mamelodi Sundowns and kit manufacturer PUMA have unveiled the club’s new third kit for the 2026/27 season, adding a fresh white design to the Brazilians’ collection following the release of their home and away jerseys.
Dubbed the 2026/27 Rise Kit, the new strip carries a message of ambition and perseverance for the club’s passionate supporters, known as the Yellow Nation.
The kit is scheduled to become available online and in stores on 30 October 2026, according to the club’s announcement.
Sundowns Go White With Their New Third Kit
The latest design introduces a crisp white base, complemented by royal-blue panels beneath the arms and matching details around the trim.
The Ubuntu-Botho S&E sponsor logo also features in royal blue, tying the overall look together and giving the jersey a clean, coordinated finish.
After opting for their familiar yellow home colours and a blue away strip, Sundowns have chosen a different look for their third alternative kit.
The club promoted the launch with an inspirational message centred on opportunity, ambition and growth.
“Every child deserves to dream big and rise,” Sundowns stated while introducing the new kit, which carries the message of the Yellow Nation continuing to rise.
The launch gives supporters another option to represent the club during the upcoming campaign.
New Kit Arrives After Sundowns’ CAF Champions League Setback
While the new jersey offers something positive for supporters to celebrate, Sundowns are also dealing with disappointment following their early exit from the CAF Champions League.
The defending African champions were eliminated in the second preliminary round after losing their tie against Angola’s Wiliete SC on the away-goals rule.
Head coach Miguel Cardoso acknowledged the disappointment, accepting responsibility alongside the players and coaching staff. He also pointed to the team’s inability to convert its control of the match into the goals required to progress.
Cardoso described the elimination as a major setback but stressed the importance of moving forward and competing for the trophies still available.
The early continental exit puts added focus on Sundowns’ response across domestic competitions as they look to maintain their position among South African football’s leading clubs.
Can the Brazilians Win More Silverware This Season?
Despite their Champions League disappointment, Sundowns still have major domestic ambitions for the 2026/27 campaign.
The club will be targeting the Betway Premiership title, the Carling Knockout and the Nedbank Cup as they seek to add more trophies to their collection.
Their new Rise Kit arrives at a time when the team will need to turn its attention back to the competitions ahead and give supporters reasons to celebrate on the pitch.
The challenge now is to respond to the continental setback with strong performances in the remaining tournaments.
Can Mamelodi Sundowns bounce back from their CAF Champions League disappointment and deliver a domestic trophy clean sweep this season? The new kit brings a fresh look, but the club’s performances will ultimately determine how successful the campaign becomes.
