The race for Burkina Faso superstar Stephane Aziz Ki has taken a dramatic turn. Despite being a top priority for Rhulani Mokwena at MC Alger, Libyan giants Al Ittihad Tripoli have reportedly stolen a march on the competition.

The R6.6 Million Showdown
Aziz Ki, the former Young Africans (Yanga) maestro who was famously targeted by Kaizer Chiefs before his move to Morocco, is reportedly ready to leave Wydad AC.
- The Offer: Al Ittihad has tabled a staggering $400,000 (R6.6 million) deal to lure the playmaker to Tripoli.
- The Competition: Rhulani Mokwena is desperate to reunite with top-tier talent to bolster his MC Alger squad, which currently leads the Algerian Ligue 1 by 12 points. However, the financial muscle of the Libyan “moneybags” currently makes them the favorites.
The Lorch Connection
Adding more fuel to the fire is the news that Aziz Ki’s current Wydad teammate and South African icon, Thembinkosi Lorch, is also being courted by Al Ittihad.
Lorch has been a revelation in Morocco this season, racking up 5 goals and 4 assists in just 11 games. Reports suggest that Al Ittihad wants to pull off a sensational double-raid on Wydad to sign both Lorch and Aziz Ki, potentially reuniting them in Libya.
