The extradition of brothers Siyabonga and Malusi Ndimande—accused of the murders of rapper Kiernan “AKA” Forbes and his friend Tebello “Tibz” Motsoane—from Eswatini to South Africa on Tuesday, November 11, 2025, has elicited profound and contrasting reactions from the late rapper’s parents, Lynn and Tony Forbes.
The suspects’ arrival, after months of legal delays, marks a critical step forward in the high-profile case that has captured the nation since the double killing in February 2023.

Lynn Forbes: The Pain of Loss
AKA’s mother, Lynn Forbes, shared her raw, heartbreaking emotion on Instagram shortly after the suspects landed. Her tribute featured a throwback photo of her and her son alongside a deeply moving message conveying the suffocating pain of his absence, even as the legal process moves forward:
“If you were the one coming home today, that would be justice for me. Everything else is just process. This South African air is suffocating today. I cannot breathe.”
Her post resonated deeply with supporters, who flooded her comments section with sympathy as she continues to mourn and keep her son’s legacy alive through emotional tributes.

Tony Forbes: Cautious Optimism and Relief
In contrast, AKA’s father, Tony Forbes, expressed a reaction of cautious optimism and genuine relief. Speaking to eNCA, he acknowledged the culmination of a long wait, stating his satisfaction that all seven accused will now stand trial together.
“I’m very excited is probably not the right word, but I’m pleased that we’ve arrived at this day,” he said. “It’s been a long time coming, but I feel satisfied now that when the trial starts, all seven will be on trial, in particular the brother that pulled the trigger.”
Tony also praised the efforts of the South African Police Service (SAPS) and the National Prosecuting Authority (NPA), commending them for maintaining consistent communication and managing the family’s expectations throughout the lengthy investigation and extradition process.
The return of the Ndimande brothers has intensified social media speculation, with many users expressing hope that the upcoming trial will finally reveal who orchestrated the hit on the beloved musician.
