Award-winning South African content creator Grace Mondlana spared no expense over the weekend as she celebrated a major milestone for a beloved family member: her Biewer Yorkshire Terrier, Kai, who recently turned one year old.
Hosted at her home, the extravagant celebration brought together close family, friends, fellow digital creators, and their own canine companions for an afternoon filled with custom décor, pet pampering, and kid-friendly entertainment.

During the event, Mondlana delivered an emotional speech opening up about her deep bond with Kai:
“The reason why I’m having this party for Kai is because Kai brought so much sunshine in my life. He’s my everything. I love him so much. He has changed my life in the past 10 months that he’s been with me.”
Mondlana also used the gathering to officially introduce the newest addition to her family: a three-month-old Biewer Yorkie named Bella, whom she adopted to keep Kai company while she is away for work.

Addressing a direct message during a TikTok Live stream where a user questioned her choices, Mondlana held her ground:
“Some lady sent me a DM and said ‘How dare you have a party for a dog.’ I was like, what? You spend so much time consuming other people’s lives… In my free time, I make parties for dogs. That makes me happy. In your free time, what are you doing?”
Despite mixed reactions online, Mondlana remains focused on sharing her journey as a proud pet parent to Kai and Bella, reminding followers that those who dislike her content are under no obligation to view it.
