Soweto giants Kaizer Chiefs have reportedly turned their attention to another Stellenbosch FC wide man, entering the race to sign highly-rated winger Faiz Abrahams as the transfer window enters its final stretch.
Following initial interest in Stellies winger Langelihle Phili, SoccerBeat reports that Amakhosi are now actively exploring a potential swap deal to secure the 21-year-old Abrahams. The move comes after the player’s proposed transfer to Orlando Pirates collapsed, and a subsequent loan move to Durban City was turned down by the player.

Hailing from Bishop Lavis, Abrahams developed through the youth ranks at Cape Town Spurs (formerly Ajax Cape Town) before joining Stellenbosch FC. His breakthrough arrived during a stellar DStv Diski Challenge (DDC) campaign, where he bagged 11 goals and walked away with the DDC Player of the Season award.
His rapid rise earned him a senior Stellenbosch debut against Kaizer Chiefs in late 2025, before heading abroad on loan to Israeli side Hapoel Kfar Saba for the 2025/26 season.
