Beverley Steyn has addressed Nonku Williams’ public apology, making it clear that while the apology has been accepted, the legal process surrounding the dispute is still underway.
Beverley Steyn has responded publicly to Nonku Williams’ apology, confirming that she has accepted it but will not halt legal proceedings as she awaits repayment of the money owed to her.
Taking to social media, Beverly explained that her decision to speak out publicly came only after all private efforts to resolve the matter failed.
“I Tried to Handle It Privately”
Beverley said she had exhausted every possible avenue behind the scenes to recover her money, but saw no progress.
She added that she later discovered she was not the only person affected, alleging that several others had also loaned Nonku money and were still waiting to be paid back.
Repayment Still Pending
According to Beverley, she is now waiting as Nonku allegedly sells luxury items, including Cartier bracelets and Gucci handbags, in an effort to settle her debt and repay other friends who are also owed.
Legal Action Moves Forward
In a firm but measured statement, Beverley clarified her stance:
“To Nonku… I have accepted your apology but my legal team is moving forward. Everything I have stated above is factual, I have receipts.”
She also addressed public commentary surrounding the issue, issuing a clear warning to social media users engaging with her posts.
“To the public… nasty comments will be deleted and you will be blocked.”
While the apology appears to have eased personal tensions, Beverly’s statement confirms that the matter remains in the hands of lawyers, with repayment still outstanding.
