Kaizer Chiefs are preparing for an intense October schedule that blends high-stakes domestic action with grueling continental football, capped off by the legendary Soweto Derby against Orlando Pirates.
High-Stakes Continental & PSL Action
Amakhosi face a demanding four-match schedule in both the Betway Premiership and the CAF Confederation Cup. Their African journey resumes in the second qualifying round against Zambia’s Red Arrows, a two-legged tie critical for securing a spot in the group stages.
A scheduling bottleneck looms mid-month: Kaizer Chiefs are slated to host Stellenbosch FC on 17 October at 15:30, the exact same date as their CAF Confederation Cup first-leg trip to Zambia. The club is expected to prioritize their international fixture against Red Arrows on the 17th and reschedule the domestic clash against Stellenbosch FC.

The month culminates in one of South African sport’s biggest spectacles. On Saturday, 31 October at 15:30, Amakhosi travel to face arch-rivals Orlando Pirates. Arriving just seven days after their continental second-leg tie, squad rotation and player conditioning will be essential if the Glamour Boys hope to claim bragging rights and crucial league points.
